The Pineapple EXP · Waikiki and Ala Moana pickup

The Premium small-group tour

The Pineapple EXP takes 13 guests at most around the island, with the Pali Lookout, a North Shore beach stop with snorkel gear, Haleiwa and Dole Plantation. It's the small group for the price of a big bus.

Premium Small-Group Circle Island Tour

About this experience

Thirteen guests is the cap, and that's the selling point. You stop at the Diamond Head lookout (10 minutes), the Halona Blowhole (15), the Nuuanu Pali Lookout (20, entry covered), Makapuu Point (15), two North Shore stops of 35 minutes and an hour, Haleiwa Town (15), Dole Plantation (20) and the North Shore Macadamia Nut Company (15). Snorkelling or swimming happens at the North Shore beach stop, with gear included.

The Pali entry matters if you compare with driving yourself: Hawaii State Parks charges non-residents $7 per vehicle to park there. Water is included; lunch isn't, and guests mention stops for food. The operator only collects in Waikiki and Ala Moana, not at airport hotels or Ko Olina, and says the driver sets your pickup time, which starts at 7 AM (the listing's start time is 6:30 AM), with sunrise pickups in winter.

Guests write about the guides, often by name, and about the small group. The flip side is the vehicle: one reviewer called the van cramped on a 9.5-hour day. For a bigger bus with a restroom on board, there's the Grand Circle Island tour. For a guided turtle snorkel, there's the turtle tour.

  • Never more than 13 guests
  • Nuuanu Pali Lookout entry covered

What guests say

★★★★★

I have to say this was one of the best tours I've ever done! From the moment we were picked up until we were dropped off, we saw so many places and had a blast with the driver/owner, Tyrone. [...] The small group also made this tour amazing.

Our guide Leonani was amazing! [...] We greatly enjoyed out times snorkeling and at Dole. Our pictures are all amazing. I also appreciated the small group tour versus the giant tour buses we saw on the way.
