The grand tour with snorkeling

Nui Tours packs a dozen stops, from the Diamond Head lookout to Waimea Bay and Dole Plantation, into one long day, with snorkel gear for a beach stop. Pick it if you want the most stops and a swim for the lowest from-price of the guided loops on this site.

Grand Tour Around the Island with Snorkeling

About this experience

This is the long version of the circle. The listing names twelve stops: the Diamond Head State Monument lookout, the Halona Blowhole, Sandy Beach, Waimanalo and Mokoli'i at 20 minutes each, an hour on the North Shore, Kahuku Farms, Waimea Bay, an hour at the North Shore Macadamia Nut Company, 30 minutes at Pua'ena Point, an hour at Dole Plantation and Green World Coffee Farms. Makapuu, the Banzai Pipeline, Sunset Beach and Haleiwa go past the window.

Snorkel gear, snacks and soft drinks are included. Lunch is extra, so bring money for the food stops. Nui Tours runs buses from 25 to 50 seats at the same price, and says some places may be skipped because of weather. Guests confirm it: in September 2026 one wrote that the water was brown after storms and there was no snorkelling, another that the bus skipped Diamond Head, the Blowhole and Sunset Beach.

The guides carry this tour. Review after review names them, with ukulele, songs and, on some days, a drone video of the group. If you want the same loop in a group of 13 or fewer, the Premium small-group tour costs $10 more. If the snorkel is the point, the turtle snorkel tour has a guided swim at a turtle feeding spot.

  • Twelve listed stops, the most of any guided loop here
  • Snorkel gear for a beach stop
  • Snacks and non-alcoholic drinks included
  • Hotel pickup across Honolulu
  • From $89 per person

Great tour. Our tour guide Aka was very informative and gave us plenty of time at each location. This is a full day tour. Well worth the money.

Tips before you book

  • Bring a swimsuit, towel and sunscreen. Guests say the snorkel spot can be rocky, windy or murky after storms.
  • Turtles may show up on the beaches, but nobody can promise them. NOAA Fisheries asks you to stay at least 10 feet away.
  • Plan on a full day: the listing says 8 to 10 hours, and one guest counted about 11.
  • Pack cash or a card for lunch and the farm stands.
  • Weak swimmer? Sit the snorkel out if the surf is up. One guest wrote it would have been too dangerous for anyone but experienced swimmers that day.

Frequently asked questions

Where do you snorkel on the Nui Tours grand tour?

At one of the beach stops on the loop, with gear provided. The tour runs a fixed route, but weather and sea conditions decide whether the snorkel happens; after storms, guests report murky water and no swim.

Is lunch included on the grand tour with snorkeling?

No. Snacks and soft drinks are included. Lunch is extra, so bring money for the North Shore food stops.

How many people are on the bus?

Up to 50. Nui Tours uses buses from 25 to 50 seats, and the price is the same whichever you get.

Is it a good choice for kids?

For school-age kids who like the water, yes: children 3 to 12 pay about 22% less. It is a long day, so see our guide to touring with kids first.
